As an Independent Bible church, we share a common heritage with all Christians.  We share the following basic affirmations in common with all true Christian communities:

We believe in one God.  We further believe that there are three persons within the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  These three are one God:  identical in substance, equal in power, and the same in glory.  None is either greater nor lesser than another.  Each person has a distinct role to fulfill in the salvation of the world. God is both just and loving.

We believe in God the Father as the first person of the Trinity. He is the creator and sustainer of all things.  The Father is listed as the first person of the Trinity not because He is lesser or greater, but as coequal functions as the head of the Trinity who sends the Son into the world for its salvation and sends the Holy Spirit into the world through the Son.

We believe that Jesus is both Son of God (fully divine) as well as Son of Man (fully human).  He was born of the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless and perfect life.  He died on the Cross of Calvary as our atoning sacrifice for sin.  After three days He rose again literally and bodily.  He appeared alive to the disciples and others.  He ascended into heaven and is returning some day in power, victory, and majesty.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God with us and within us.  He convicts us of sin, gives spiritual rebirth, and produces Godly character in us (the "fruit of the Spirit").  He also grants spiritual gifts according to His will for the benefit of believers and to empower us for service, evangelism, and discipleship.

We believe that human beings are created in the image of God.  Yet each of us has sinned and gone astray.  God calls everyone to repent, surrender to God, believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, and receive the gift of salvation and spiritual rebirth.

We believe that the Bible is God’s infallible Word.  We believe that the Bible is the final and ultimate authority for our faith and how to live.  We believe that Christians need to know and study the Old Testament and the New Testament for both reveal God, Jesus, the Spirit, and their will for our lives.

We believe in both heaven and hell.  God offers everyone the free gift of eternal life, but He leaves it up to us to receive it. God does not want anyone to perish, but has given us free will to choose salvation or continue in rebellion against God.

We believe that God’s design for marriage is between one man and one woman.

We believe in the sanctity of life.  Both for the unborn as well as the elderly.  Life begins at conception.  All reasonable means should be taken to sustain the life of the infirm and the elderly.
